The ONERA Story
An atelier built on one idea.
That a garment should begin with a person — not a pattern, not a trend, not a size chart. Everything ONERA makes follows from that belief.

Founder & Designer
Gauri Gaikwad
ONERA is the couture practice of Gauri Gaikwad — a designer working between traditional Indian craft and contemporary silhouettes.
Gauri grew up surrounded by the language of Indian textiles — zari and mirror work, heirloom saris, the rituals of dressing for a wedding. ONERA was founded to carry that language forward, translated for the way women dress today.
Each commission is personal: a private consultation, an original design, hand embroidery by master karigars, and fittings that refine the garment to the wearer. The result is clothing that feels less like a purchase and more like a keepsake.
What We Believe
Three words, held to.
Personal
Every garment begins with a conversation. Nothing is repeated; nothing is generic. The piece is built around the person who will wear it.
Crafted
Hand embroidery, considered construction and heirloom finishing. We measure quality by the hours a garment holds, not the speed it is made.
Modern
Indian craft is our language, not our limit. Silhouettes are reimagined for the way women dress today — in India and around the world.
“A wedding outfit is worn once. A wardrobe of memories lasts a lifetime. We make the kind of garment a daughter inherits — and one day, reimagines.”
