Bespoke Indian Couture

Tradition, reimagined for the individual.

ONERA is the couture practice of Gauri Gaikwad — custom bridal, wedding and occasion wear where Indian craft is reimagined around the woman who will wear it.

The Atelier

Clothing that begins with a conversation.

ONERA doesn't simply sell clothing — it turns your vision into a personalised garment. Each commission starts with you: the occasion, the story, the way you want to feel when you walk into the room.

From there, Gauri Gaikwad sketches, drapes and refines by hand — blending traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary silhouettes, embroidery and mirror work, and a fit that belongs to no one else.

Custom Couture

Made for you. Not for a size chart.

Every ONERA garment is a private commission — designed, draped, embroidered and fitted around one person. This is how a piece comes to life.

Explore the custom process

We begin with your story — the occasion, the venue, the people, the feeling. We discuss silhouettes, references and the heirlooms you may wish to carry into the design.

Craftsmanship

The hours you don't see.

Before a garment is a garment, it is a hundred small decisions — thread, mirror, metal, tension, drape. This is the work ONERA is built on.

Hand Embroidery

Zari, dabka and resham worked by hand — no two ONERA motifs are ever identical.

Colourful traditional embroidery with metal embellishments

Mirror & Metal Work

Traditional mirror work and metallic detailing placed with a contemporary eye.

Cut & Drape

Patterns drafted and draped on the stand so the garment moves with the wearer.

Traditional gold and beaded jewellery arranged in a display tray

Finishing by Hand

Linings, closures and hems finished by hand — the details you feel as much as see.

The ONERA Story

“I don't design for a trend. I design for the woman in front of me — her story, her comfort, her moment.”

Gauri Gaikwad · Founder & Designer

ONERA was born from a simple belief: that clothing should feel personal. Every commission carries that intention — from the first sketch to the final fitting.
